Today, Starlight Apps is announcing its first major app update for 2025 with Pencilera v2.1. Pencilera v2.1 brings in quality of life improvements to Pencilera to make the photo capturing and viewing experience even smoother and more seamless than ever before.
Improved Animations
When using Pencilera v2.1 on devices running iPadOS 18 or newer, animations come to life using the new zoom transitions. Viewing and dismissing the photo gallery and each individual image is smoother, bouncier, and interactive. This makes the Pencilera experience even more enjoyable.
Refined Gallery UI
The user interface for viewing photos you’ve taken has been completely re-imagined, with a prettier user interface to allow you to immerse yourself in the photos you’ve taken. The new button panels at the bottom is now a capsule with color tinted icons that makes the user interface come to life.
Share Photos from Pencilera
Right after you’ve taken a group photo with friends or family, you can now view and share the photo directly from within Pencilera, without even leaving the app! This makes the Pencilera experience even more tightly integrated with the system, and provides users with a seamless experience for capturing and sharing their precious moments.
Other UI Updates
We’ve sprinkled in smaller changes to the user interface of the app to make the experience better for all our users.
